The government is thinking of changing the frequency of MOT testing.

In a recent government study there have been moves afoot to change the MOT test from cars that are three years old and then annually thereafter, to four years and then every two years. This is going to have a major impact [hopefully not] on road safety, not to mention jobs within the motor trade. and associated industries.

The current system has been in place since the early sixties and works exceptionally well, it provides a major contribution to road safety, figures just out show road deaths in the UK are now below 2000 per year, the lowest since records began in the 20′s. Making us one of the safest countries in the world, i ask you why change anything? if it aint broke don’t fix it the old addage goes. My next blog will will tell you how you can help stop this debacle from happening.
